Recently ordered on Ebay The Emmigrants by Villhelm Moberg. It is the story of one family who emmigrated to America from Sweden. It tells of their bravery and struggles and what it was like to start over. It is the first in a series and so far a great, informative, and inspiring read. Full of facts and for those of us who are new to learning about why our relatives made the big move it really lets you in on their emotions and the birth of a new nation.
